QLASSIC Consolidator grant

Dimitris is the recipient of a FIS3 Consolidator grant with his project QLASSIC! He proposed a complete paradigm change in the quantum simulation of glass phases: the creation of a synthetic glass using an innovative quantum synthesis approach based on an enhanced photon-by-photon assembly of the state. This new state of matter is a superglass phase that emerges firmly into the quantum regime by using strongly-interacting photons instead of atoms. QLASSIC will probe the elementary dynamical and spatial properties of the photonic superglass phase and characterise its thermodynamic properties.
